Dear Scotty Carman and the School Board of Trustees of Wink, Texas, We have heard of your plans to demolish the historic landmark school in Wink. This building, which is still in fine condition, was the backbone of Wink for many generations. It is the school that Roy Orbison attended as well as most of Wink’s notable citizens and the great Texas State champion football team. I ask you not to destroy this beautiful piece of American history.
