You might recognize the Led Zeppelin “Physical Graffiti” buildings from The Rolling Stones video “Waiting on a Friend” (1981), where Mick Jagger is waiting on the steps (with reggae co-creator Peter Tosh) for Keith Richards. It has a solo from one of my favorite jazz saxaphonists, The Official Sonny Rollins Page.

Led Zeppelin “Physical Grafitti” buildings from album cover (1975) – These two five-story buildings photographed for the album cover are located at 96 and 98 St. Mark’s Place in New York City. The original photograph was changed to the final image. Designed by Peter Corriston, it’s one of the most recognizable album covers.

Featuring guest stars: The Yardbirds with Jimmy Page and The Walker Brothers Roy’s hit single during the tour of 1967 (with Jimmy Page) was a song named “Communication Breakdown”! Led Zeppelin recorded their song “Communication Breakdown” the following year 1968.
